Leslie “Adam” Morgan was born and raised in Franklin, VA, which is a small city in the “Tidewater” region of Virginia. After High School, he attended Radford University where he received his Bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2004.
After graduation, Adam sought a job opportunity that allowed him to work with people while helping them identify creative solutions to resolve their unique problems. His uncanny ability to think quickly, critically, and strategically in the face of challenging scenarios led him into the Financial Services industry in 2005. Andrew has spent his entire career in the financial services industry. He began designing financial strategies for individuals and businesses in 1995, then moved to designing Executive Benefit plans for Community Banks while working with Benmark in Atlanta. Singled out to spearhead Benmark’s venture in designing Executive Benefit Plans for credit unions, Andrew succeeded far beyond expectation. With a vision of offering custom plan designs and unparalleled service, Andrew eventually founded The Sheeter Group in 2004.

Brandon started his career at Principal Financial Group in 2021, where he focused on protecting people’s greatest asset – their income. He was actively involved at The Ohio State University working with new Residents and Fellows to select appropriate Disability coverage. However, Brandon knew that there was more that he could do as a Financial Planner and did not like how transactional the insurance side of the business had become. So, he started to lay the foundation for a shift to a new firm.
Brandon settled into First Financial Group in October of 2023, where he works by utilizing a team approach to deliver custom-tailored financial strategies to his clients. Eight months after the sudden death at 58 of my father, a blue collar worker with $10,000 of life insurance, I became an insurance agent. I didn't want that financial tragedy to follow on anyone, and I have dedicated my career to trying to help people avoid a similar fate.
While serving in the Navy in 1971, I broke my back and spent 90 days in 100% bed rest in Newport Naval Hospital. This experience afforded me lots of time to think about what I was going to do next, and I decided then and there to go to college and make something out of myself. Because of my disability I went to college full time for seven years, paid for by the VA. I met my wife, Cindy, at Syracuse University, which is something I never could have paid for.

Back in college, if you had asked Gerald Radican if he could imagine a career in the financial services industry, the instant response would have been a resounding “no!” Yet in the summer of his junior year, Gerald was offered an internship to work with his brother-in-law, who was then building a financial planning practice in the Washington, D.C. area. Little did Gerald know at the time that his brother-in-law had a hunch he would be good at this business – and that there really was no internship program. “He thought, if I only got a taste of it, I might like it and stay,” laughs Gerald.

I often will tell people that I have had two careers in the financial professional world.
My first three years, which was just transactional in nature, and trying to sell as many products as I could. And then since 2004 doing what I love! I was very fortunate after I graduated from Wartburg College in 2003 to hit the ground running with Financial Architects.
Starting in 2004 I was blessed with a great mentor who had taught me early on it is not about a product. He would say often “if there was a magical financial product out there that made everyone wealthy, we would all own it!”
It did not take me long to fall in love with the powerful financial principles we were teaching on money decisions. I soon began asking everyone I encountered “If what you thought to be true turned out not to be, how soon would you want to know?”
