Clarence “Clay” Goldsborough, Jr. joined FFG in 2012 and has consistently been one of its’ top financial professionals, winning numerous awards and industry recognition. Indeed, Clay was the first associate in FFG’s history to achieve the status of Chairman’s Council and was the first African American to achieve Chairman’s Council with his former company's 153-year history.
Clay has helped build First Financial Group into one of the premier Financial Services Firms in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Clay strongly believes in helping Families establish generational wealth and creating more certain financial futures. His greatest passion is building relationships and creating meaningful connections in his Community.
Prior to joining FFG, Clay was Director of Business Development with Northwestern Mutual in 2010. He was responsible for expanding the Advisor base and enhancing the Firm’s brand in untapped minority markets. After college, Clay began his career in sales at Fortune 500 computer software and IT companies. Realizing his entrepreneurial tendencies, Clay founded and managed several successful real estate investment/ consulting companies.
Clay received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Hampton University and has completed many Executive development programs over the years. In his spare time, Clay enjoys spending time with his Wife Adrian and their two Sons, Ethan and Evan; he and his boys are avid golfers. He and his Family reside in Potomac, Maryland. He is a member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the Century Club, LTD. He presently sits on the Board of the Williams-Franklin Foundation.
