Gaffar Chowdhury grew up in Alexandria, VA and has been a DC area resident for over 30 years. He graduated from Virginia Tech with his undergraduate (GO HOKIES!) and received his graduate Executive Certification in Financial Planning from Georgetown University.
When Gaffar is out of the office, he enjoys CrossFit, traveling to new cities and being out on his boat. He currently serves on the board of the Women's Bar Association Foundation (WBAF), National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and the Virginia Tech Alumni Association of the National Capitol Area (VTAA-NCR).
Gaffar has a true passion in developing comprehensive strategies for his clients who are: individuals, families and small businesses. His specializations include protection planning, investments, wealth accumulation + distribution, retirement and estate planning.
As a Managing Director with FFG, Gaffar plays an integral role in the growth and development of the Bethesda and Reston offices. Along with building and maintaining his practice, he is also looking to meet individuals who are interested in finding a new firm to work with or are career changers and would like to start a successful career in Financial Services.
