Gaffar is dedicated to developing comprehensive strategies for his clients who are individuals, families and businesses. He specializes in working with legal and medical professionals and owners of IT and government contracting businesses. His team at FFG is comprised of individuals who specialize in asset protection, wealth management, business strategies, 401k plans and group benefits.
Additionally, Gaffar is a Managing Director with FFG, playing an integral role in the growth and development of the Bethesda and Reston offices. Along with building and maintaining his practice, he is actively looking to address the growing needs of clients by hiring talented professionals to join his team.
Gaffar is one of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) Greater Washington DC’s 2020 Four Under Forty Award Recipients, which recognizes four outstanding financial professionals who have gone ‘above and beyond in their lives and careers so far’. The award is based on success in practice, education, NAIFA and other industry involvement, and community impact.
Gaffar Chowdhury grew up in Alexandria, VA and has lived in the DC metro area for over 30 years. He graduated from Virginia Tech with his degree in Business Economics and received his graduate Executive Certification in Financial Planning from Georgetown University.
When Gaffar is out of the office, he enjoys working out, trying new restaurants and being out on the water. He currently serves on the leadership board of NAIFA-Greater Washington, the Virginia Tech Pamplin College of Business - Pamplin Society, and the Society of Financial Service Professionals (FSP) - National Capital Chapter. Gaffar currently lives in Southwest DC with his English Pointer Lab, Remy.
